This letter is to inform you that there will be a change in the schedule for Thursday, May 31, 2018. The last day of school will now be Friday, June 1st instead of Thursday, May 31st due to the TEA not approving the waver for the makeup day for when we had the pipe burst incident in November.
Friday, June 1st will be a half day/ early release at 11:50 am, please be sure to notify your daycare facilities.
Thursday, May 31st will be a full school day and will follow the regular schedule.
Class parties will be held on the last day of school, more information will be sent out by your child’s homeroom teacher. Students will have lunch prior to dismissal, parents won’t be able to join them.
Please note that this change only affects Harmony School of Innovation – Carrollton AND NOT Harmony Science Academy (HSA) next door.

Following TEA’s announcement of the new accountability system, we started a redesign process for our performance bonus structures to align with the new accountability measures in school year 2018-2019. Based on feedback collected through surveys and deeper discussions in our bonus redesign committee meetings, we came up with a set of proposed changes to the current bonus plan. We are now in the public commenting period to collect final recommendations on these proposed changes before the new bonus system is presented to HPS Board of Directors for approval in June. You may respond to the public comment survey multiple times to provide comments on different parts of the proposed changes. Public comment period closes on June 1, 2018. We will have 3 locations; Gym, grass field, and the parking lot
We encourage students to:
- Wear *Field Day shirt and comfortable shoes
- Bring a towel
- Bring their own labeled water
- Bring a change of clothes
- Apply sunblock before arriving at school
- Bring sack lunches/If not buying
*Students should wear the school uniform on Field Day if they didn’t buy the specially designed shirt. Thank you!

We invite all parents, students, staff and other community stakeholders to attend Harmony Public Schools-DFW/Waco District Wellness Policy meeting. The meeting will be held at the district office located at 12005 Forestgate Dr. Ste 110, Dallas, TX 75243 on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 beginning at 8:30am. We will review our current District Wellness Policy (located on each campus website) and the guidelines set forth in the HPS board approved Wellness Plan (available on each campus website) in regards to nutrition education, Smart Snack Guidelines, fundraisers, exemptions, classroom parties, etc. If you are interested in joining, no RSVP is necessary and we look forward to your attendance.
